When searching through her mother’s (Donna) belongings, Sophie finds her mother’s diary and discovers that she has a string of three intimate dates during the time that Sophie was conceived.
Sophie believes that one of these men could be her father so three month prior to the weeding she sends an invitation to each of them without her mothers knowledge. On the eve of the wedding, the three men arrive on the island, not knowing why they are there and to Donna’s surprise.
